About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to be the Associate Director, SpeakUp Office EMEA. The SpeakUp Office, a part of the companies Group Ethics, Risk & Compliance function, provides a safe place for anyone internal and external, to raise concerns regarding unethical behavior at Novartis and our partners. You will collaborate closely with key partner functions including Global Security, Employee Relations, Legal, ERC, P&O and others to ensure comprehensive and effective handling of each matter.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming reports of suspected or actual misconduct by Novartis or third parties in line with existing framework and policies.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of case management - intake and risk assessment, assigning matters for investigation/handling to the appropriate function(s), communication with the whistleblowers, quality review of the investigation reports and issuing them to management.
  • Manage documentation of cases in the SpeakUp case management system.
  • Collaborate with key partner functions (Employee Relations, Global Security, Legal Investigations, ERC, People and & Organization) and Subject Matter Experts to facilitate timely and thorough assessment and investigations.
  • Support and collaborate with the countries in EMEA region on all SpeakUp related topics, including coaching and onboarding of local case managers.
  • Support the Region Head in preparation of trainings and presentations in order to improve awareness on the SpeakUp program within EMEA region.
  • Work together with Region SpeakUp Head on producing reports with trends and statistics for the regional business stakeholders, ERC, Legal and P&O and Head SpeakUp.
  • Follow-up on open/pending matters to ensure reported concerns are handling in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Collaborate and participate in the projects and campaigns run by the SpeakUp Office team.

Essential  Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in ERC, Investigation, Legal, Audit, P&O or related Function.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases, often complex situations with an enquiring mind.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and achieve results with diverse and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English: oral & written, any other major language desirable.
